The Friday night was the monthly Dr. Sketchy's Reloaded burlesque/drawing session. Ruby Moon was working that night, doing some retro pin-up/Bettie Page-ish posing. These are a 2-minute study at top and a bunch of the 1-minute studies that started the evening.
All of these are calligraphy-point Pitt pen on 18 x 24" sheets of Canson Recycled Sketch paper.

Entry for March 3, 2014

It was a quiet Tuesday night at Artists 25 on the Tuesday night. Unrelenting cold weather was taking it's toll and only a couple of drawers. Paris was working, and these are all in the 25 minute range. Saul, the other person drawing was wanting a change from the typical all-nude fare, so we opted for a few partly dressed studies too. It was a nice change.
These are all ink washes and medium point Pitt pen on 18 x 24" sheets of various watercolour papers.

2nd entry for March 1, 2015

These are three pages of 5-minute studies and a 10-minute one at bottom. All are ink washes and Pitt pen on 18 x 24" sheets of Canson Recycled Sketch paper. I realized I had miscalculated on the likely number of sheets I'd need, so I doubled up on the two 5's to conserve paper.
Trying to bang in fast washes in the short poses is really good for pushing the envelope of how much I can depict. There isn't time to get very fussy in these shorter ones.

1st entry for March 1, 2015

On the Sunday I went over to the Bampot tea house for their 3-hour session. It was a less crowded session, and Polyna was there working. These are 1-minute studies, using a Pitt pen on 18 x 18" sheets of Canson Recycled Sketch paper. I was trying to do the gestures blind, but as they progressed I was looking more. The blind gesture drawing really does seem to free someting up inside for me, but it is an exercise in trust. I don't like the look of them,  but the the process is definitely worthwhile.

2nd post for Feb 23, 2015

These are a mix of 5-minute and 10-minute studies, done with Pitt medium point pen and ink washes on a variety of watercolour papers and a couple of Canson Recycled Sketch sheets in here as well. as well. The papers are a mix of 18 " square and 11 x 15" sheets
I've been experimenting a bit as to how the wash drawings play on different papers

Entry for Feb 15, 2015

On the Sunday, I went over to ARC studio. Daniel was working that day. This is a 2.5 hour study, done with a preliminary pencil study, chinese ink washes as an underlay, and oil-based pencil on top in the foreground.
The paper is an 18 x 24" sheet of some Somerset rag paper.
