2nd entry for Aug 25, 2012

As usual, Sion was delivering a very athletic set of poses, and with my head full of anatomy details, I was noticing body structure more than an average drawing session. There are limits as to how much of that comes out in a very short pose. That information has to come or spontaneously: if you think too much, the time is over.
The top five of these are 1-minute studies,  and the lower five are 2-minutes. They are all done with medium compressed charcoal on 18 x 24" sheets of bond paper.

This Wednesday (Sept 12) my Fall term Intermediate/Advanced Figure Drawing course will be starting at the Toronto School of Art. It's a 12-week course, 3 hours weekly, and you can learn more or enroll here.
Next weekend (Sept 15 & 16) from 11-6 p.m. daily I'll be displaying work over at Trinity-Bellwoods Park as part of the Queen West Art Crawl - hope you all can come and visit.
