These are two 20-minute studies and a 15-minute one at the bottom. The top and bottom ones are done on 21 x 29" sheets of Strathmore paper, while the middle one is on a 22 x 30" sheet of Maidstone paper. All are done with hard Nobel compressed charcoal in woodless pencil form.
The lowest one has awkward proportions; I feel the head is just a bit too large. But the composition is a little more adventurous and the drawing more lively, which give it some life as a drawing than if I've over-determined the figure.
