2nd entry for Dec 19, 2011

All of these had a dusting of charcoal powder applied to the paper prior to drawing ( though much less than the previous day's experiments).
The top two were done with hard compressed Nobel charcoal on 18 x 24" sheets of Canson Sketch paper, while the bottom one employs the same charcoal on a 21 x 29" sheet of Strathmore paper.
The upper two were 15 minutes each, and the lowest one was a 20-minute study of S-  . The longer one came out too wooden in its posture. I liked the simplicity and physical bulk of S-   as a person to draw.  He always calls Lucian Freud to mind for me.
